Our Principal Physiotherapist Marcus has been the coach at this Recreational Run Club at Princes Park Brunswick running group since 2015.

In late 2023, we have added Elite Runner, Kate Avery, to the Reload Run Club as the head coach.

These sessions are held three times a week with the the focus on improving fitness, speed and endurance. These sessions are structured so that no-one is left behind, but also no-one is held back. Runners of all speeds are welcome, but a reasonable level of running fitness is required. 

If you are looking for a group of keen runners in the northern suburbs Melbourne, all striving to be better, then this is worth a try.

Typically, 6-10km is covered in this 1-hour session.

FAQ’s

  • Nearly all sessions start from the Park Street end of Princes Park.

  • They are all different, but typically it will be a 1-2km warm up jog, some warmup drills and then the ‘workout session’. The workout is usually some variation of intervals, some long, some short, generally lots of regrouping. If time, we get a warm down jog at the conclusion.

  • Just yourself in your running shoes. There are plenty of water fountains around the park.

  • We are not a ‘couch to 5km’ group, but if you can run 5km, then you should be fine.

  • Approx. 1 hr.

  • Usually 6-10km depending on the session and your speed. Lots of rest breaks?

  • Generally no, but often another runner may be able to lock bags in their car.

  • We run all year round, in nearly all weather.
