A PFA provides a general overview of current and previous musculoskeletal injuries. It will assess the current condition and function of their musculoskeletal health. The testing will look at general condition, fitness capacity, range of motion and lifting capacities. The PFA results will assist in recognizing a candidate’s likely ability to perform the inherent requirements of their role.


Fitness for duty assessments

Unfortunately sometimes injuries occur, either at the workplace or elsewhere, Fitness For Duty Assessments are a deep dive into these injuries to provide the employer with specific guidelines regarding how to return the worker safely back to their pre-injury hours and duties.

The purpose of a Fitness for Duty (FFD) is to assess a current employee’s physical capacity to return to work following either a work related or non-work-related injury. Having a greater understanding of the circumstances around an injury and the current capacity level of an injured worker assists with preventing an exacerbation or a prolonged return to work. Here at Reload our Physiotherapists can assist with the sustainable reintegration of a worker back to their preinjury hours and duties.

A FFD involves a comprehensive Assessment and testing, plus a report outlining specific recommendations for that worker for their position.
